Senior outside hitter Jessica Doerner helped lead the Cal Poly Pomona volleyball team to a 2-1 record this past weekend during the Broncos' long trip through Northern California. The Redondo Beach native collected a total of 35 kills, including 17 in Saturday's 3-2 win over San Francisco State. In that same match, Doerner tallied three service aces and five blocks.

On Friday at nationally-ranked Sonoma State, Doerner collected a season-high 11 digs to help the Broncos' defensive effort. Doerner and the Broncos will return to action Thursday with a 7 p.m. home match against Chico State.
