Mark Huizar proved to be the second Bronco to cross the finish line Saturday at the NCAA Division II National Championships and in the end, a true team effort from the Broncos resulted in an eighth-place finish for the program's top performance since 1997.

Huizar came through with a clutch performance Saturday as he placed 75th with a personal-best time of 31:51.7. The La Puente native moved up nine spots through the final 5,000 meters of the race.
