Junior center Jada Blackwell led the 16th-ranked Cal Poly Pomona women's basketball team to a pair of home wins last week as the Broncos topped Cal State Monterey Bay Thursday, 58-38, and Cal State East Bay Saturday, 75-70. Through the two games, Blackwell averaged 14.5 points, 12.0 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 2.0 blocks per contest. She also knocked down 15 of her 20 free throw attempts last week.
Blackwell and the Broncos will travel to Northern California this week for a pair of road matchups. At 17-3 overall and 14-2 in conference play, CPP continues to hold a three-game lead atop the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) standings.
