Sophomore guard Barry Bell led the 25th-ranked Cal Poly Pomona men's basketball team to a pair of victories this past weekend on a Northern California road trip. Bell brought plenty of energy on offense and defense as he averaged 7.0 points, 6.5 assists and 3.0 rebounds through the two wins.

The Broncos defeated Sonoma State Friday and SF State Saturday to maintain a first-place tie with Cal State San Bernardino. Bell showed efficiently in his shot attempts from the field this past weekend, knocking down six of his nine attempts. On Saturday in San Francisco, Bell matched career bests for both assists (7) and blocks (3).
