Senior Samantha Swanson starred for the Broncos Saturday at the Pomona Pitzer Invite in Claremont as she recorded a third-place and personal-best mark in the hammer throw at 166-2. With that provisional qualifying distance, she continues to rank at No. 2 in the CPP all-time record book.

Her teammate Carissa English holds the No. 3 spot on the Broncos' leaderboard with a 164-8 mark recorded at the season-opening meet. Also on Saturday in Claremont, Swanson placed third in the discus at 145-4.
