FULLERTON, Calif. - With Mark Huizar and John Dominguez leading the way, nationally-ranked Cal Poly Pomona men's cross country captured first place Friday afternoon at the Titan Invitational.

Huizar and Dominguez crossed the line just a split second apart, at 24:44.0 and 24:44.4. Huizar took second and Dominguez placed third as the Broncos put six runners within the top 15 finishers on Friday in Fullerton.

In the latest NCAA Division II national poll released on Wednesday, CPP was positioned at the No. 22 spot.

CPP put plenty of points between itself and the other competitors on Friday. The Broncos collected 24 points while the second-place team, league rival Cal State Stanislaus, totaled 59 points. Also trailing in the field were Division I competitors UC Santa Barbara and Loyola Marymount.
