With a much awaited game in front of numerous scouts at Azusa Pacific, Cody Ponce delivered a fantastic performance on the mound for Cal Poly Pomona Friday night. With scouts mentioning Ponce’s fastball sitting around 95 miles per hour, the junior pitched 4.1 innings for CPP. He racked up six strikeouts and allowed zero walks in the game. In the contest he allowed just two hits for the Cougars and lowered his season ERA to 1.08. When he was relieved of duty, the score stood at a 0-0 tie.
