Cal Poly Pomona Athletics

Mathew Perez led the nationally-ranked Cal Poly Pomona men's soccer team to two wins last week as the Broncos defeated Cal State San Bernardino and Chico State by identical 2-1 margins. Perez collected four points during the week, scoring a goal and adding an assist in the Wednesday matchup with the Coyotes before notching an assist on the game-winning score in Friday's victory over the Wildcats. The Broncos have moved up to third place in the CCAA standings and they'll return to action Friday at Cal State Monterey Bay.
