With four more scores his past week, junior midfielder Sergi Monso has moved up to No. 1 on the CCAA goals leaderboard. So far in 2016, Monso has six goals and one assist for a total of 13 points.
On Tuesday at home against Fresno Pacific, Monso tallied two goals in the first half as the Broncos finished with a 2-0 win over the Sunbirds. On Friday at Sonoma, Monso scored in the 70th minute while Jordan Jackmon and Jose Garcia assisted on the play. During Sunday's 1-0 victory over Humboldt State, Monso tallied the game winner in the 20th minute with an unassisted play. With Monso leading the way, CPP is 5-2-1 overall and 1-1-0 in CCAA play. The Broncos return to action Friday with a home match against SF State.
