Cal Poly Pomona sophomore Vincent Sarino earned his first career Top 10 finish on Saturday, placing sixth overall out of 138 runners, leading the Cal Poly Pomona men's cross country team to third place on Saturday morning at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational in Claremont. Sarino traversed the eight-kilometer Pomona College campus course in 25:14.3, just 25 seconds behind individual race champion Santiago Hardy of Antelope Valley.  Sarino was second among NCAA Division II runners in the field, crossing the line just four seconds back of Azusa Pacific's Joshua Velasco.  He posted the fifth-best time by a CPP runner in the history of the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational as the Broncos have competed in the race eight other times since 2009.
