– Senior Kevin Ramirez' goal in the 50th minute of play allowed Cal Poly Pomona to tie its game against CSU Monterey Bay as the teams fought to a 1-1 tie in California Collegiate Athletic Association men's soccer Sunday.

The Broncos finished the weekend with four points in the CCAA standings as they are 6-6-1 overall and 4-5-1 in league. Friday, CPP came back to defeat San Francisco State 3-2 in double overtime.

The Otters' Gabe Glass put his team on the scoreboard early when he scored on a feed from Grant Robson just two minutes into the contest.

CSUMB retained the lead and went into halftime at 1-0.

But the Broncos tied it up when junior Tyler Reinhart sent a touch pass to Ramirez, who sent his shot to the left of the GK and in. It was Ramirez' third goal on the year and Reinhart's fourth assist.

CPP outshot CSUMB 17-8 and fired 11 shots at the net.

The Broncos totaled three shots in the two overtimes. Broncos GK Chris Otani had one save in overtime and had five saves on the day.

CPP returns to Kellogg Field on Friday when it takes on Cal State Stanislaus. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
