Travis Taijeron connected on his school-tying record 14th home run and the Cal Poly Pomona Broncos rolled to an 11-5 win over host Sonoma State in the regular-season series finale Friday afternoon.
The Broncos improved to 24-26 overall and 16-21 in the CCAA, while the Seawolves dropped to 23-26 and 16-21.
Taijeron laced a two-run shot to left center with two outs in the Broncos' decisive sixth inning.
Leading 4-1 entering the fifth, CPP scored six runs to put starter RHP
Travis Kelly in a comfort zone.
The Alta Loma native threw seven innings, gave up six hits and struck out three with two walks and improved to 2-4.

Marcus Makiaand
Manny Navarro each had three hits, while Taijeron and Makia had three RBI.
Robert Palmer and
Erik Riedel joined Makia as each doubled. rro had two RBI.
Taijeron shares the HR record with Ryan Vorell, who connected for 14 in 2001.
The two teams resume the series Saturday with a doubleheader set for 11 a.m. -- a change from the original scheduled 12 p.m. start.
Sunday's finale also will begin at 11 a.m.
