POMONA, Calif. – The Cal Poly Pomona volleyball team will continue its road trip on Friday at 7 p.m. as it takes on the Golden Eagles of Cal State L.A. at the Eagles Nest.

CPP holds a 10-6 overall record on the year, which includes a current four-match win streak that marks an 8-5 tally in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play.

CSULA holds an identical 10-6, 8-5 CCAA record and both teams have a hold on fifth place in conference.

Last week's road success saw the Broncos sweep Cal State Stanislaus and earn an exhilarating five-set victory over the Wildcats of Chico State.

The Golden Eagles will be hosting the Broncos and hoping to end a four-match skid, the last of which was a sweep by Sonoma State.

As a team, the CPP squad has higher numbers overall thus far this season than the opposition. The Broncos hold more kills, total attacks, kills/set, assists, assists/set, aces, and total blocks throughout their games than the teams they have played.

Individually, members of the Broncos squad owns some impressive stats.
Deanna Blaine leads the offense with 169 kills.
Christen Williams holds a .336 attack percentage.
Zoe Herrera has tallied 293 digs, which (added to her 636 from the past two years) currently places her at ninth on the Broncos' all-time board.

Williams has collected a total of 68 blocks, while
Alexa Hasen is nipping at her tail with 67 of her own. Â Â

The last time the two teams met, the fans got their money's worth as it came down to the fifth and final set, where the Broncos rallied from behind to secure a 16-14 victory.

After CSULA, the Broncos will travel to Cal State Dominguez Hills, where they play the Toros on Saturday at 7 p.m.
The Toros hold a 2-15 record on the season, including a 1-12 mark in CCAA play. They will play host to the UC San Diego Tritons on Friday.Â
Looking further ahead, the Broncos will host a "Pack the Stands" Night on Friday, Oct. 31. The first 100 CPP students will receive a Habit Burger Grill voucher and other prizes will be awarded to fans wearing creative Halloween costumes.
On Wednesday, Nov. 5, CPP will host a "Military Appreciation" Night. Fans with a Military I.D. will receive free admission to the match. Â
