The Broncos will await the Sunday selection show to be streamed on NCAA.com starting at 7 p.m. The top eight teams from the West Region will advance into the Division II postseason and the top West squad will host the first three rounds.
Marsh brought out cheers from the Bronco fans on the opening possession of Saturday's game. She knocked down a tough shot in the lane, drew contact and knocked down the resulting free throw to complete a three-point play.
Blackwell proved to be a consistence force in the paint, knocking down five of her seven field-goal attempts in the opening 20 minutes. The Toros' bench helped Dominguez stay within striking distance and totaled 12 points in the first half.
The first half played out very evenly as the largest lead was a six-point margin in favor of CPP late in the period. The Toros got a jumper from Tayler Champion in the final minute of the half to trim the Broncos' lead to 32-30 heading into halftime.
Blackwell put CPP ahead 36-30 with a layup early in the second half after an assist by
Lauren Goecke. Dominguez reeled off an 11-0 run a few minutes later though as the Toros held the Broncos to zero field goals through a seven-minute span.
Junior guard
Tyler Woods snapped that drought to pull CPP to within one - 49-48 - after a layup and free throw at the 9:28 mark. The Broncos couldn't tie the game or take the lead the rest of the way as Lee guided the Toros' offense in the second half. She went 5-for-6 at the line while totaling 11 second-half points and committing zero turnovers.
CPP made it a one-possession game a couple times in the final minute but Dominguez sank enough free throws to wrap up the four-point victory.
