POMONA, Calif. - Despite a nearly equal total of shots and scoring chances, the Cal Poly Pomona women's soccer team suffered its first home loss Friday in a 1-0 defeat at the hands of 12th-ranked Cal State San Bernardino.

Entering Friday's match, CPP held a 5-0 record at Kellogg Field. In front of a sizeable crowd of 687 on "Pack the Stands" night, the Broncos' offense couldn't break through against the nationally-ranked Coyotes.
San Bernardino finished with a 10-9 advantage in shots while CPP totaled seven corner kicks as opposed to four from the Coyotes. With the result, CSUSB stays undefeated at 8-0 overall and 1-0 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA).
The Broncos, now 5-2 overall and 0-1 in conference play, will return to action on Sunday with a 2 p.m. showdown at UC San Diego. On Friday, the Tritons dropped a 1-0 loss at Cal State L.A.
