With the loss, the Broncos fall to a 9-4 overall tally, complete with a 7-2 conference mark. The Toros, with their win, improve to an 8-1 record in the CCAA. CSUDH has also secured 13 wins and four losses on the season.

In the game, both teams came to play. CPP shot 45.3% from the field and the Toros shot 38.9%. The advantage for the home team came from beyond the arc. The Broncos sank 5-of-14, whereas the home team fired off 10 successful triples.

The game saw 14 total lead changes as the two battled with an intensity reminiscent of last season's CCAA Championships.
