The Broncos' record currently stands at 0-2 after falling to Azusa Pacific and Point Loma in the first week of play. The two losses came in the season-opening CCAA/PacWest Challenge hosted in Cal Poly Pomona's own Kellogg Arena.
First up for the Green and Gold this week are the Yellow Jackets of Montana State Billings on Friday at 7 p.m. at Kellogg Arena. The Yellow Jackets' record sits at 0-2 record as well. MSUB fell to both No. 3 Cal Baptist and the Academy of Art.
The Broncos and Yellow Jackets last met in the 2013-14 NCAA D-II West Region Tournament hosted at CPP. The Green and Gold won that game 75-68 before heading off to Erie, Pa., for the Elite Eight.
On Saturday, the Green and Gold will head to Cal State San Bernardino to take on Canada's Simon Fraser Clan at 4 p.m. The Clan has three exhibition victories on the year, but their official record stands at 0-2 as they also fell to both CBU and Academy of Art.
The Broncos and the Clan have met three times over the last two seasons. In the 2013-14 season, the teams split a two-game series with the Green and Gold securing a 66-64 victory and SFU securing a 73-64 victory. The CPP squad also defeated Simon Fraser 89-80 last season.

Jordyn Shane, who collected 21 points in the two contests the Green and Gold have played. Three other members of the team have recorded double-digit points with
Alyssa Benton,
Priscilla Brooks, and
Marshanique Hall registering 18, 17, and 13, respectively.
On the defensive half of the court, the Broncos have seen a stellar performance from Brooks as she leads CPP with 22 rebounds. In the two games so far this season, the Broncos have out-rebounded the opposition 73 to 68.
Next week, the Broncos will hit the road for two games before they open up California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play against Cal State Los Angeles on Dec. 2. They will begin their road trip on Tuesday in La Mirada when they challenge the Eagles of Biola University at 5:30 p.m. The team will complete its road trip on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. as they take on Hope International University in Fullerton.
