POMONA, Calif. – Looking all the way back to Feb. 13, Cal Poly Pomona men's basketball clinched a spot in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) postseason with a win over Sonoma State. Fast forward to this week and the Broncos' now have the tournament's No. 2 seed and first-round bye.
 
After a tight race, which came down to the final game of regular season play, the Chico State Wildcats secured first place while the Broncos earned second place and the No. 2 seed. 
 
CPP's regular season consisted of a stellar 21-6 overall performance and a 17-5 mark in conference play. On Friday at 8 p.m. in the semifinal round at Stockton Arena, the Broncos will play the winner of the Thursday matchup between Cal State San Bernardino and Humboldt State.
 
In regular season play, the Broncos and the Jacks split the series, with CPP securing the home win in double overtime on Jan. 23 and HSU walking away with the win this past Saturday. CPP earned two wins over the Coyotes, which included a 60-36 victory on Feb. 26.

4. Cal State Stanislaus 14-8
5. UC San Diego 14-8
6. Cal State San Bernardino 12-10
 
This will be the second season in a row in which the Broncos secured the No. 2 seed in the postseason, allowing them to take an extra day to prepare for the semifinal round. Last season the Broncos were topped by Chico State while Cal State San Bernardino went on to claim the CCAA Tournament title.
 
CCAA Championship Tickets
Tickets, which range in price from $7 to $25, can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com or at the Stockton Arena box office. All ticket purchases made online, at a Ticketmaster outlet, or over the phone are subject to a convenience fee.

CCAA Tournament Schedule
The 12-team tournament format (six men's and six women's teams) calls for 10 games to be played over three days in Stockton Arena. Four games (two women's and two men's) scheduled for both Thursday, March 5 and Friday, March 6. Championship games will be played on Saturday, March 7.
