POMONA, Calif. – Looking to put together a California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) win streak, the Cal Poly Pomona men's basketball team will travel north on Friday to take on Sonoma State.
The Broncos (3-6, 1-4 CCAA) ended their last game with a 69-61 win over Cal State San Bernardino back on Dec. 17.
Offensively, CPP sits in the middle of the pack in the conference, scoring 69.4 points per game while giving up just under 71 ppg. Pomona has succeeded in taking care of the ball so far this season, holding the second best turnover margin at plus-1.89.
The Broncos will come up against one of the better defenses in the CCAA with Sonoma allowing only 61.2 ppg but struggling on offense, earning a league worst 64.3 points per game.
Ranking in the top 10 in the conference in scoring is CPP's
Jordan Ogundiran who is averaging 14.6 points per contest. Following him is
Jeremy Dennis at 12.2 ppg while
Chris Sullivan is averaging a team high six rebounds per game along with 9.6 points.
