SAN MARCOS, Calif. – Struggles on the road continued for the Cal Poly Pomona men's basketball team who ended their fourth straight road game in a 88-76 loss to Cal State San Marcos on Thursday night in the Sports Center.
Jordan Ogundiran started things off for the Broncos (3-10, 1-8 CCAA) scoring the team's first eight points of the night. He finished with a game high 23 points along with four rebounds.
Following him was
Jeremy Dennis with 15 points and
Daylan Lawrence also with 15 points, going 5-of-8 from three-point range.
For the Cougars (11-5, 6-3 CCAA), four players landed in double digits in points, led by Josh Spiers with 30 points. CSUSM finished the game with a field goal percentage of 56 percent on the night.
The Broncos shot 48 percent from the field, including 55 percent in the second half, but couldn't overcome a 43-27 halftime deficit.
Dennis added a team high eight rebounds while
Chris Sullivan finished with eight points for the Broncos.
The Broncos return to Kellogg Arena next Thursday as they play host to Stanislaus State in the first home contest since Dec. 17. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
