SAN FRANCISCO – The Cal Poly Pomona women's soccer team concluded their final regular season road game, ending in a 1-1 tie with San Francisco State on Friday afternoon.
The Broncos (9-5-4, 5-4-2 CCAA) held a late lead before an accidental hand ball in the box allowed San Francisco State to score in the 87
th minute, sending the game to overtime, with neither squad able to add another goal.
After playing to a scoreless tie in the first half, the Broncos struck in the 60
th minute as
Aline Graham scored her first goal of the season after collected a deflected shot by
Tasha Inong and burying the ball in the back of the net.
San Francisco State finished with nine total shots with four on target while the Broncos tallied seven shots with three on goal.
Ricki Ives collected three total saves in the match, all coming in the first overtime period to keep her team level.
The Broncos will close out the regular season at home on Friday, Oct. 27 for senior night against Cal State San Bernardino with a start time set for 4:30 p.m.
