POMONA – In one of the most physical matches of the year, the Cal Poly Pomona men's soccer team fell 1-0 to Cal State San Bernardino at Kellogg Stadium on Friday night to close out the regular season.
The loss moves the Broncos to 13-4 overall on the year and 9-3 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association.
The Coyotes scored what would be the game-winning goal in the 15th minute, passing the ball through the middle of the box before kicking the ball through one defender and past the goalie.
The Broncos notched nine total shots with six on goal while CSUSB finished the match with six total shots, two on target.
Both teams battled throughout the night as the match finished with 31 total fouls.
CPP had one of their better opportunities in the 84th minute as
Jose Garcia attempted a shot in the box, sliding just past the post.
Prior to the match, the Broncos honored a total of 10 seniors in

The Broncos will wait for the final CCAA matches to be played on Sunday to determine the field and seeding of the conference tournament.
