Broncos Host First Home Game before Traveling to Open CCAA Play

Pomona – The Cal Poly Pomona women's basketball teams will play Biola University in their first game at Kellog Arena Tuesday night and will begin California Collegiate Athletic Association play on the road against Stanislaus State Saturday afternoon.

Last Week: (0-2) The Broncos lost two hard fought games last week to Azusa Pacific University and Point Loma University in the CCAA/PacWest Challenge. The Broncos out shot APU the entire game but turned the ball over 22 times in a 75-72 loss. They shot under 30 percent from the field and turned the ball over 17 times in their loss against Point Loma.

By the Numbers: Priscilla Brooks leads the team with 14 points a game and Jackie Ricketson is second with 12 points a game. As a team, they are averaging 34 percent from the field and 36 percent from three-point range.

Eagle Report: Biola's season starts with the Broncos. Last year, the Eagles finished with an overall record of 23-8. The Eagles lost both of their exhibition games by double-digit points. The Eagles' leading scorer from last year, Demoria White, averaged 17 points a game. As a team, they shot 44 percent from the field and 34 percent from three-point range. 

Warrior Report: Stanislaus (1-1) split their first two games of the season. Last year, the Warriors picked upa big win against the Broncos, 84-68. The Warriors shot over 57 percent in the game and 37 percent from three-point range. Brittney Livingston is averaging 14 points a game to lead the Warriors in scoring.
