Pomona – The Cal Poly Pomona men's basketball team will play Bethesda on Wednesday night and will begin California Collegiate Athletic Association play on the road against Stanislaus State Saturday night.

Last Week: The Broncos (1-1) split their games last week, beating Dixie State in double overtime and losing to Azusa Pacific University. William Christmas led the team with 18 points and nine boards to help CPP win against Dixie State. 

By the Numbers:  Christmas leads the team in points scored and rebounds two games into the season. He is averaging 15.5 points per game average and 9.5 total rebounds a game. Jeremy Dennis and Quentin Taylor are tied for second in scoring, averaging 10 points a game. As a team, they are shooting 37 percent from the field but only 24 percent from three-point range.

Flames Report: Bethesda (3-4) comes in looking to end a three-game losing streak against the Broncos. The Flames are shooting 41 percent from the field and 31 percent from three-point range. Bethesda is led by Ammar Rehman who leads the team in points per game with 15.3.

Warriors Report: Stanislaus (2-0) comes in looking to hold on to their undefeated record. The Warriors narrowly lost to the Broncos last year by one point. The warriors shot 43 percent from the field and 35 percent from three-point range but turned the ball over 20 times. Xavier Francois leads the team with scoring with an average of 13.5 points per game.
