Broncos Go For Second Straight at Cal State San Bernardino

Pomona – The Cal Poly Pomona women's basketball team looks to continue their dominance over Cal State San Bernardino as they take on the Coyotes on the road on Tuesday night.

Last Week: The Broncos (7-1, 4-0 CCAA) got back on the winning side of things as they defeated Cal State Dominguez Hills 78-66. CPP tallied their third highest score of the season and their highest in California Collegiate Athletic Association play. Four players tallied double-figures in points while Chelsea Waddy-Blow leading the way with 15 points.
 
By the NumbersCPP has won nine of the last 11 games against CSUSB while sweeping all three contests last season including their opening round playoff win. The Broncos have been a very balanced team this season, ranking third overall in offense with 70.1 points per game, while holding the fourth-ranked defense, giving up only 62.2 points per game. CPP ranks first in rebounding with an average of 46.3 rebounds per game and is third in opponent field goal percentage at 35 percent.
 
Priscilla Brooks continues to lead the Broncos both in points at 12.2 ppg and in rebounds at 8.7 rpg. Behind her is Waddy-Blow with 11.1 points per game and Jackie Ricketson with an average of 9.6 points. Waddy-Blow also averages 7.3 rebounds per game while Ricketson leads the squad in assists with 25.
 
Coyote Report: Cal State San Bernardino enters Tuesday's contest with a 4-5 record overall, going 2-3 in the CCAA. The Coyotes have lost two straight and are 1-4 in their last five contests. Offense has been a struggle for San Bernardino, ranking 12th overall in points scored with 60.8 points per game. Defense has been the strong point for the Coyotes, ranking just behind the Broncos in fifth with 62.8 points allowed per game while ranking first in opponent's field goal percentage, holding them to a mark of 34 percent.
