Broncos Roll Over Monterey Bay, Win 64-31

POMONA – The Cal Poly Pomona women's basketball team made it three straight wins in California Collegiate Athletic Association play on Friday night, dominating Cal State Monterey Bay 64-31 at Kellogg Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The Broncos jumped out to a quick lead, scoring the first 12 points of the game.
  • Giving up only nine points in the first half, the Broncos took a 19-point lead into the break.
  • Shooting 39 percent from the field, the Broncos held the Otters to a shooting percentage of 20 percent in the contest.
  • CPP scored 17 points off turnovers and finished with 37 points off the bench.
  • Monterey Bay tallied their highest point total in a quarter during the third period, scoring 13 points to 16 points from CPP.
  • The Broncos took their largest lead of 35 points with a minute left to play in the final quarter.
 
KEY PERFORMERS:
  • Casey McWilliam led the Broncos with 13 points, earning her fourth double-digit scoring performance this season.
  • Kerianne Noonan was second on the team in scoring, finishing with eight points and tying a season high.
  • Priscilla Brooks finished with six points and led the team in rebounds with 12.
  • Jackie Ricketson finished the night with seven points while adding four assists and four rebounds.
 
OUTSIDE THE BOX:
  • Allowing only two points in the first quarter was the lowest point total allowed in a quarter this season.
  • Friday's win was the fourth game this season the Broncos never trailed at any point during the contest
