LA JOLLA, Calif. – The winning streak ended for the Cal Poly Pomona women's basketball team on Friday night, falling to first-place University of California – San Diego 80-67 at the RIMAC Arena.
With the loss, the Broncos move to 13-10 on the season and 11-6 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association while UCSD improve to 19-5, 15-3 CCAA.
Jackie Ricketson led the way for CPP, scoring a season high 19 points, going 7-of-13 from the field. She added seven assists and five rebounds on the night.
The Tritons jumped ahead early in the game, opening the first quarter on a 12-2 run. UCSD's Cassie Macleod led both squads with 30 points as San Diego finished the first half with a 3-24 lead.

Priscilla Brooks scored double-digits for the eighth time this season, totaling 14 points, while
Erin Hagan finished with 11 points.
The Broncos outscored UCSD in the third quarter but couldn't find a way to slow down the offense as the Tritons shot 56 percent from the field.
Cal Poly Pomona returns to action tomorrow night as they face off against Cal State San Bernardino on the road with a 5:30 p.m. start.
