POMONA, Calif. – Sitting in first-place in the California Collegiate Athletic Association South Division standings, the Cal Poly Pomona baseball team closes out the regular season at Scolinos Field this weekend as they welcome in San Francisco State for a three-game series beginning Friday.
The Broncos (28-18, 24-11 CCAA) have won eight straight after sweeping three games on the road at Sonoma State over the weekend.
As one of the top hitting teams in the league, the Broncos are tied with Chico State for the highest batting average at .314. CPP is also second in runs scored (307), first in hits (509), fourth in slugging percentage (.421) and fourth in on-base percentage (.386).
Finishing his final season with the Broncos on a high note in outfielder
Daniel Pitts who leads the Broncos in double, triples, home runs and RBIs. His batting average of .369 also ranks second on the team.
The pitching trio of

Henry Omana and
Kyle Dohy have been unstoppable for the Broncos, combining 22 innings, 12 hits and two runs in their last starts. CPP ranks fifth in the CCAA in team ERA at 4.09
The series starts on Friday with a doubleheader scheduled for noon and 3 p.m. before senior day on Saturday with the final game set for noon. The Broncos will honor seniors Pitts,

Alex Gaskin.
