POMONA – Offense came easily for
Sergi Monso and the Cal Poly Pomona men's soccer team on Friday night as he scored his first hat-trick of the season in the first half of the Broncos' 5-0 win over Cal State East Bay for their second straight California Collegiate Athletic Association victory.
Monso came out firing, scoring his first goal in the opening two minutes of play, taking the keeper right before finishing in the left corner of the goal.

With just under 10 minutes remaining in the first half of play, Monso completed the hat trick, once again taking a pass from Perez before spinning the ball behind himself and the defender, sliding the ball underneath a diving keeper as the Broncos took a commanding 3-0 lead into halftime.
CPP finished with 11 shots in the first half while controlling the ball for a majority of the time, holding East Bay to only two shot attempts.
