Women's Basketball Travels for Key Matchups vs. East Bay and Monterey Bay

Pomona – The Cal Poly Pomona Women's basketball team hits the road in California Collegiate Athletic Association matchups against Cal State East Bay and Cal State Monterey Bay, looking to inch closer to first-place in the conference standings.

Last Week: The Broncos (13-5, 10-3 CCAA) won both of their games, defeating Cal State Dominguez Hills 65-61 and dominating Cal State L.A. 53-38. Chelsea Waddy-Blow led the Broncos offensively with 15 points against the Toros. Jordyn Shane matched a season high with 15 points against the Golden Eagles.
 
By the Numbers: Priscilla Brooks leads the team in scoring, averaging 10.9 points a game, and in boards, averaging 8.1 a game which ranks her eighth in the conference. The Broncos are the number one scoring defense in the CCAA, holding opposing offenses to 57.7 points a game. As a team, they average 67.2 points a game. In the last matchup against the Pioneers, the Broncos comfortably won at home 52-38, and against the Otters, winning 64-31.
 
Pioneer Report:  East Bay (12-8, 8-6 CCAA) is coming off a tough loss to Sonoma State, losing by one point. The Pioneers average 64.5 points a game on 40 percent shooting from the floor. Morgan Greene is fifth in the conference in scoring, averaging 14.5 points a game and leads the conference in boards with 12.7.
 
Otter Report: Monterey Bay (5-14, 4-10 CCAA) lost six of their last eight games. The Otters average 57.1 points a game on 34 percent shooting which is last in the conference in both categories. Aubri Smith leads the team in scoring with 13.2 points a game.
