Women's Basketball Returns Home, Face Stanislaus State

Pomona – The Cal Poly Pomona women's basketball team will look to bounce back as they return to Kellogg Arena to host Stanislaus State in a California Collegiate Athletic Association showdown.

Last Week: The Broncos (13-7, 10-5 CCAA) lost both of their games last week, losing to Cal State East Bay 76-67 and Cal State Monterrey Bay 50-49. Chelsea Waddy-Blow  scored 21 points against the Pioneers and 15 points against the Otters to lead the Broncos offensively. Despite the losses, the Broncos continue to hold down second-place in the league standings.
 
By the Numbers: Priscilla Brooks leads the team in scoring, averaging 11.1 points a game, and in boards, averaging 7.9 a game which ranks her eighth in the conference. The Broncos are the number one scoring defense in the CCAA, holding opposing offenses to 58.2 points a game. As a team, they average 66.3 points a game. CPP looks to avenge a loss to the Warriors earlier in the season when they fell 72-65 on the road.
 
Warrior Report:  Stanislaus (8-12, 5-9 CCAA) comes in losing its last five of seven games. They hope to repeat past success against the Broncos with Lizzy Alexander and Zahria Hendrix who combined to score 32 of the 72 points against the Broncos. The Warriors average 66.5 points a game on 37 percent shooting. Alexander leads the team in scoring with 11.1 points a game.
