#16 Broncos Defeat Toros 3-1 On Senior Night

POMONA -- On a night of celebration for five seniors and head coach Rosie Wegrich, the 16th-ranked Cal Poly Pomona volleyball team took care of business Saturday night, defeating Cal State Dominguez Hills in four sets (25-18, 25-18, 17-25, 25-13) at Kellogg Arena in Pomona.

The Broncos have won seven straight matches, improving to 21-3 overall and 14-2 in the CCAA, completing an undefeated season at home (9-0) for the first time in program history.  The Toros fell to 9-14 (4-11 CCAA).

Ally Wilder matched a career-high with 13 kills, and set a new career-high with a .500 hitting percentage, assisting on four blocks.  Kristen Hamlin turned in another dominating performance, tallying 13 kills in 21 attacks without an error for a career-best .619 clip and four assisted blocks.  Andrea Bosnic smashed in 12 kills and had 15 digs while Jenna Goldsberry and Desi Martin each chipped in with eight kills apiece.  Alex Bollier had another tremendous night on the back line, making 21 digs to lead all defenders.  Kira Zimmerman handed out another 41 assists.

As a team, the Broncos hit .338 while holding the Toros to just .145.  Tati Yandall led CSUDH offensively with 17 kills.

Cal Poly Pomona will play one final regular season contest before competing in the CCAA Championship Tournament in Turlock in two weeks.  The Broncos will play at Cal State Monterey Bay Friday in Seaside.  First serve is set for 7:00 pm.
