Women's Soccer Adds Six Freshmen for 2018

POMONA – Head Coach Jay Mason announced a wave of new signees for the Cal Poly Pomona women's soccer team heading into the 2018 season.
 
The Broncos are coming off a season in which they finished 10-6-2 overall while going 6-4-2 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association and making an appearance in the conference postseason tournament.
 
With 12 seniors leaving from last year's roster, Mason begins to reload as he brings in six freshmen.

From Coach Mason: "Sydney brings a presence in goal that stands out when you see her compete.  She is vocal, physically strong, and aggressive off her line. She has quick hands, good range on crosses, and takes great pride in protecting the goal. I am excited to add Sydney to our talented group of GK's and look forward to seeing her compete next season."

From Coach Mason: "Elise has the skill level, soccer IQ and speed to be a threat in both wide areas and when playing inside. She is comfortable combining and running at defenders 1v1 coupled with a tactical understanding of how to shut players down defensively. Her energy and confidence on the ball will be a welcomed addition to our returning group of defenders."
