Women's Basketball Hosts Dominguez Hills in Quarterfinals of CCAA Tournanment

Pomona – The second-seeded Cal Poly Pomona Women's basketball team will host seventh-seeded Cal State Dominguez Hill in the Quarterfinal round of the California Collegiate Athletic Association Postseason Tournament at Kellogg Arena.

Last Week: The Broncos (18-8, 15-6 CCAA) defeated Cal State San Bernardino 62-57 to secure the second seed in the CCAA Tournament as they closed out the regular season at home. Casey McWilliam scored 18 points on 57 percent shooting to lead CPP to a victory over the Coyotes. CPP has now finished in the top three in the CCAA standings for two years in a row.
 
By the Numbers: Chelsea Waddy-Blow leads the team in scoring, averaging 11.4 points a game while Priscilla Brooks leads the team in boards, averaging 7.9 a game which ranks her eighth in the conference. The Broncos are the second-best team in the conference behind a strong defensive, as they hold opposing offenses to 58.8 points a game on 35 percent shooting. As a team, they average 67.1 points a game on 38 percent shooting. The Broncos win by an average of 8.4 points a game which is the second highest winning margin in the league. The Broncos swept the regular season matchup against the Toros as Waddy-Blow scored 15 points in both victories.
 
Toro Report: Dominguez Hills (13-14, 11-11 CCAA) struggles on the road having won 5 of 13 road games. The Toro offense averages 67.8 points a game which in the third highest in the CCAA. However, they are not efficient as they shoot 36 percent from the floor. Nautica Morrow leads the Toros' offense as she ranks second in the CCAA in scoring, averaging 18 points a game.
