POMONA - The Cal Poly Pomona women's basketball team saw their California Collegiate Athletic Association Tournament run cut short on Friday night, falling to Humboldt State 69-53 at Kellogg Arena.
THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Humboldt State scored the first four points of the game before each team traded off taking the lead.
- At the end of the first quarter, HSU held a 20-15 lead and sinking a bucket in the final seconds.
- Both teams remained even the second quarter as the Lumberjacks kept their five-point advantage, heading into the locker room at 34-29.
- CPP shot 32 percent from the field while HSU tallied nine three-pointers and finished with 21 points off of turnovers.
- After the Broncos battled back to take the lead in the third quarter 44-42, Humboldt closed out the quarter on a 9-1 run.
- The run continued in the fourth quarter as Humboldt took control as they worked up a 20-5 run against CPP.
KEY PERFORMERS:

Jackie Ricketson and
Chelsea Waddy-Blow led the Broncos offensively, tallying nine points each. Ricketson added eight rebounds and three assists along with a steal.

Priscilla Brooks collected a team-high 11 rebounds while adding seven points.

Casey McWilliam and
Adaora Obi each finished with seven points
OUTSIDE THE BOX:
- This marks the second year in a row that the Broncos will make their tournament exit in the semifinal round.
- HSU finishes the year with a 2-1 record against the Broncos while going 2-0 in Kellogg Arena.
