POMONA – The Cal Poly Pomona baseball found offense when they needed it as they swept Saturday's doubleheader against San Francisco State, combining for 13 runs in the final two innings of both games.

GAME ONE:
GAME SUMMARY:
- San Francisco State came out swinging, scoring seven runs in the first three innings of play.
- The Broncos scored their first run of the game in the third inning as Sean Grebeck bunted, reaching bases on a throwing error by the pitcher allowing Jacob Bernardy to score.
- Heading into the sixth inning, the Broncos trailed 7-1 before earning some momentum with three runs in the inning. After Cody Martin and Cesar Lopez got on base with a walk and hit-by-pitcher respectively, Nic Hernandez cleared the bases with a three-run homer to right field to cut the lead to 7-4.
- CPP stormed back in the eighth inning, scoring six runs beginning with a two-RBI single down the right side by Drew Cowley. Nick Peifer answered with a two-run double before RBI singles by Angel Ortiz and Matt Manskar.
- The Broncos added on four more runs in the ninth inning with RBIs by Peifer and Ortiz before a two-RBI shot by Manskar.
KEY PERFORMERS:
- Chris Burnett picked up his first win for the Broncos, tossing three innings with two hits and three strikeouts.
- Manskar finished 3-for-3 from the plate while him, Peifer and Hernandez all tallied three RBIs in the contest.
GAME TWO:
GAME SUMMARY:
- Game one saw much less offense as the Broncos scored their first run in the third inning as Hernandez singled to score Bernardy.
- SFSU answered back in the fourth inning, scoring two runs on a throwing error by the Broncos to go up 2-1 in the contest.
- CPP evened the game in the fifth inning with an RBI single by Brennan McKenzie to center field, scoring Lopez to make it 2-2.
- Unable to break the tie in regulation, CPP took the lead for good in the top of the ninth inning as Lopez singled, bringing in Martin before a two-RBI single by Bryce Graddy sealed the victory.
KEY PERFORMERS:
- Graddy led the Broncos with two RBIs off of two hits while Lopez finished with three hits and one RBI.
- Austin Isenhart pitched seven innings, giving up two unearned runs off of four hits while finishing with six strikeouts.
- Earning the win was Brian Conley who tossed two innings of relief with no hits and two strikeouts.
