POMONA – The 39th Annual Bronco Golf Classic will be held on Monday, April 23, 2018 at the Friendly Hills Country Club located in Whittier, CA.
The main focus of the tournament is to raise funds which are directed into scholarship support for the student-athletes at Cal Poly Pomona.
"This continues to be a great long-standing event that provides support for our student-athletes and the athletic programs at Cal Poly Pomona," said Director of Intercollegiate Athletics
Brian Swanson. "We are looking forward to another fantastic day at Friendly Hills Country Club and encourage all Bronco supporters, university alumni, friends and family to participate, enjoy a great day of golf, and show your support for Cal Poly Pomona's student-athletes."
Following a traditional scramble format, the Monday golf tournament includes a continental breakfast and putting contest prior to the tournament; lunch served on the course following a shotgun start; with dinner to conclude the day along with the awarding of team and individual prizes. Raffle tickets will also be available to purchase during check-in on Monday morning for a chance to win numerous prizes following the tournament.

The Broncos have continued to experience success throughout the 2017-18 season both on and off the playing surface. The men's soccer team claiming the 2017 West Region Title while advancing to the semifinal round of the NCAA National Tournament. The Cal Poly Pomona cross country teams both represented CPP on the National stage while the men's basketball team claimed a CCAA Championship, finishing first overall with a record of 18-4 in conference play.
A total of 39 Cal Poly Pomona student-athletes were named to the CCAA All-Academic Team for the fall and winter seasons while Sergi Monso and Nadeer Ghantous were both named NCAA Division II Academic All-Americans.
