POMONA – The Cal Poly Pomona baseball team dropped the series against Cal State East Bay, losing the final game losing 3-1 on the road on Monday afternoon.

GAME SUMMARY:
- After both teams went scoreless through the first two innings, East Bay jumped ahead with two runs in the third inning, hitting a double to left center field followed by a sacrifice fly to right field.
- The Broncos scored their lone run of the game in the fourth inning as Nic Hernandez launched his sixth home run of the season, a solo shot to center field, to close the gap.
- The Pioneers added an insurance run in the seventh inning with another sacrifice fly, this time to center field to go up 3-1.
KEY PERFORMERS:
- Hernandez registered two of CPP's six hits while four other Broncos managed one hit in the contest.
- Taking the loss for CPP was Austin Isenhart who finished with six 1/3 inning pitched, allowing three runs off six hits.
- Brian Conley pitched 2/3 innings with one hit and no runs while Ben Mora tossed one complete inning with one hit, one strikeout and no runs.

The Broncos will return to Scolinos Field next weekend as they welcome in Cal State Monterey Bay for a four-game series beginning Friday, April 13.
