POMONA – The Cal Poly Pomona baseball team found some offense in game two of their series against Cal State Dominguez Hills, defeating the Toros 7-3 at Scolinos Field on Friday to even the series.

GAME SUMMARY:
- CPP tallied the first two runs of the contest in the second inning as Bryce Graddy singled just past the pitcher to bring home Logan Gopperton while Drew Cowley singled to left center to give the Broncos a 2-0 lead.
- Dominguez Hills got on the board in the third inning, hitting an RBI double down the left field line to score the man from first base.
- The Broncos added two more runs in the third inning, as Cesar Lopez singled up the middle to lead off. After Brennan McKenzie got on base with a walk, Logan Gopperton moved the runners with a sacrifice bunt before another single by up the middle, this time by Bryce Graddy, scored both runners to give CPP a 4-1 lead.
- Nic Hernandez batted in two runs total, one in the fourth inning with an RBI groundout to second base, before a single to right center in the sixth inning gave the Broncos a 6-1 advantage.
- Jacob Bernardy brought in the final run for CPP in the seventh inning, singling up the middle to score Graddy for the second time today.
- The Toros had a little fight left, hitting a two-run homer in the top of the eighth, but couldn't add any more runs as they Broncos evened the series at one game apiece.
KEY PERFORMERS:
- Graddy finished with a team-high three RBIs while collecting two hits and scoring two runs.
- Finishing with two RBIs was Hernandez while Cowley led the team with three hits on the day.
- Tim Holdgrafer picked up the win for the Broncos as he improved to 4-2 overall on the year. He tossed eight innings while giving up 10 hits with three earned runs and seven strikeouts.
- Pitching one inning of relief was Peter Beattie who gave up zero hits with one strikeout and a walk.
