Women's Soccer Blasts Simon Fraser, 4-0

SEATTLE, Wash. -- After a scoreless first half Saturday in Seattle, the Cal Poly Pomona women's soccer team poured on the offense in the final 45 minutes to blow out Simon Fraser 4-0 at Interbay Stadium.  The victory moves the Broncos to 1-1 on the year as they return home to host their home opener Thursday at 6:30 pm against Point Loma.

Not only was the game tied on the scoreboard at the intermission, both teams were also even in the number of shot attempts (4-4).  That would all change in the second half as CPP outshot Simon Fraser 13-3 in the second half, converting four of their 13 shots, beginning with Taylor Scott's unassisted strike in the 52nd minute to break the scoreless tie.  Kalin Tomlinson added to the lead in the 66th minute from an assist by Aline GrahamNatalie Di Angelo took it from there, scoring in the 75th minute and again in the 88th minute to secure the first victory of the season for the Broncos.

Sydney Williams earned her first-career shutout win between the posts for CPP, making one save in the 90-minute affair.
