POMONA -- William Christmas had game-highs of 15 points and seven rebounds and
Mason Dickerson added a career-best 12 points off the bench as the Cal Poly Pomona men's basketball team cruised past Cal State Monterey Bay, 79-47, on Saturday night at Kellogg Arena in Pomona.
The Broncos (7-4 overall) jump a game above .500 in CCAA action at 5-4, sharing seventh place in the conference standings with their next opponent, Cal State Dominguez Hills. The Otters, meanwhile, suffered their 32nd straight loss dating back to last season and remain winless in 2018-19 at 0-15 (0-10 CCAA).
After taking a 14-point lead into the halftime break, the Broncos continued to pour it on in the second half, nearly scoring more points in the second half (46) than the visiting Otters scored in the entire ballgame (47) en route to the 32-point win.
All 11 players that saw minutes for Cal Poly Pomona scored at least a point.
Jordan Ogundiran,
Justin Young and
Phoenix Shackelford each chipped in with nine points to complement the double-figure scoring efforts of Christmas and Dickerson.
Cal Poly Pomona will hit the road for a brief two-game road trip, starting with a Thursday night tilt at Cal State Dominguez Hills in Carson. Tipoff from the Torodome is set for 7:30 pm.
