POMONA -- The Cal Poly Pomona men's soccer team earned its second straight 4-0 victory on Thursday, knocking off visiting Cal State Dominguez Hills at Kellogg Stadium in Pomona.
The Broncos (6-3-2) have now won three straight and are unbeaten in their last seven, rising to 5-0-1 in the CCAA (16 points), moving three points ahead of Cal State LA and Cal State San Bernardino, both tied for second place with 13 points. The Toros fell to 3-6-1 (2-3-0 CCAA).
The Broncos outshot the Toros, 13-6, including 10-4 in the opening frame. All three shots CPP attempted in the second half found the back of the net.
None of the six shots by CSUDH were on target as CPP keeper
Jordan Aldama didn't need to make any saves in recording his second shutout of the season.
Cal Poly Pomona will return to action Sunday in a highly-anticipated matchup with No. 2-ranked Cal State LA. Kickoff is set for 2:00 pm at Kellogg Stadium in Pomona.
