POMONA -- The 25th-ranked Cal Poly Pomona women's soccer team played to a scoreless tie with visiting Cal State LA on Sunday afternoon at Kellogg Stadium in Pomona.
The Broncos move to 8-3-2 overall and 4-1-2 in the CCAA. The Golden Eagles are now 5-4-1 (2-3-1 CCAA).
It was a tale of two halves in regulation as Cal Poly Pomona dominated the shot chart with a 9-3 advantage in shots in the first half, but then Cal State LA took eight of the 10 shots in the second half to even the shot count at 11-11 through the first 90 minutes of scoreless action. Both teams also took three shots each in extra time, but none would find the back of the net.
