LA JOLLA, Calif. -- UC San Diego's Christina Oddone got the lone touch that mattered in Friday's nightcap at the CCAA Soccer Tournament, poking in the game-winner with just 1:50 remaining in the second and final overtime period, as a penalty-kick tiebreaker loomed, to give the No. 2 seed Tritons the 1-0 victory over the No. 3 seed Cal Poly Pomona women's soccer team at Triton Soccer Stadium in La Jolla.

The true sophomore central midfielder from nearby Carlsbad, poked in a left-sided ball just past the reach of sophomore CPP goalkeeper Sydney Williams and into the bottom right corner to keep the Tritons' hopes alive of a fifth-consecutive CCAA Tournament banner.

UC San Diego moved to 15-1-1, with Cal Poly Pomona now 13-4-3.

Angelica Ramos, the CCAA Goalkeeper of the Year, notched her nation-leading 13th individual clean sheet of the season.

The Tritons had edged out a 1-0 home decision during the regular season as well over the Broncos on Oct. 4, through a 24th-minute direct free kick from CCAA Freshman of the Year Mika Celeste.

Eliminated from the CCAA Tournament, Cal Poly Pomona will await its NCAA postseason fate as the selection show to unveil the 2019 NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Championship Tournament is set for Monday at 3:00 pm on NCAA.com.
