ROHNERT PARK, Calif. -- The 22nd-ranked Cal Poly Pomona women's soccer team played to a scoreless draw with No. 10 Sonoma State on Wednesday afternoon at the Seawolf Soccer Field in Rohnert Park.
The Broncos, who have solidified themselves as the No. 3 seed in the upcoming CCAA Tournament, moves to 12-3-3 overall and 8-1-3 in the CCAA. The Seawolves go to 13-2-1 (9-0-1 CCAA) and capture their second CCAA regular season championship since joining the conference in 1998.
The contest was called due to darkness in the 96th minute, but goes down officially as a tie.
Cal Poly Pomona will host a CCAA Tournament First Round game on Tuesday at Kellogg Stadium in Pomona against a team to be determined. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:30 pm.
