HAYWARD, Calif. -- In what became the longest game in NCAA Division II this season, a three-hour, four-overtime affair, it was the No. 20 Cal Poly Pomona men's basketball team to outlast Cal State L.A., 102-99, in the semifinals of the 2019 CCAA Tournament on Friday night at Pioneer Gymnasium in Hayward.
The top-seeded Broncos (21-5) have won 14 straight games and will put the streak on the line against No. 2 seed UC San Diego (24-7) in Saturday's CCAA Tournament final, which tips off from Hayward at 7:35 pm. CPP is looking to avenge a two-point loss to UCSD in last year's CCAA championship game in Pomona.
The No. 5 seed Golden Eagles fall to 18-12 overall.
