POMONA -- The Cal Poly Pomona women's soccer team opened conference play Wednesday with a dominating 3-0 victory over Cal State San Bernardino at Kellogg Stadium in Pomona.
The Broncos have won four straight contests improving to 5-2-0 overall and 1-0 in the CCAA. The Coyotes fell to 1-4-1 (0-1 CCAA).
Allyssa Larkin gave CPP the 1-0 lead in the 19th minute, just 10 minutes before
Taylor Scott scored her fifth goal of the year in the 29th minute.
Ambria Pogue followed with the exclamation point in the 70th minute as the Broncos earned the 3-0 win while outshooting the Coyotes 22-2, including 10-2 on goal.
Cal Poly Pomona returns to action next Friday (Oct. 4) at top-ranked UC San Diego. Kickoff from Triton Soccer Stadium is set for 4:30 pm.
