In the 10th minute of the match, defender Pele Martinez scored his second career goal off an assist by midfielder Max Laguna. The Broncos would hold off the Lumberjacks as goalkeeper CJ Walker collected his sixth shutout on the season, tying him for sixth place in most shutouts in a single season for the Broncos.

With the victory, CPP now stands with a CCAA record of 3-0-1 and an overall record of 8-2-1.

Leading CPP in shots was Laguna who took three shots on the game with one shot on goal. Midfielder Mike Moser collected two shots and one shot on goal.

"Today was a typical hard fought road game on the back end of a long trip," said coach Matt O'Sullivan. "If you want to be in championship contention, you have to find a way to win those games. I was delighted with the teams togetherness this weekend and we won two very difficult road games against good opposition."

CPP's next match is Thursday, October 6th against Cal State San Bernardino in San Bernardino with kickoff set for 3:00 pm.
