Broncos Fall To Stanislaus State In Turlock

TURLOCK, Calif. – The Cal Poly Pomona Broncos closed their road trip with a match against the Stanislaus State Warriors in Turlock. The Broncos were unable to stop a second half barrage by the Warriors, falling 3-1.
 
The Warriors scored the first goal in the 14th minute. Midfielder Marisa Salazar put CPP on the board scoring a goal in the 22nd minute off an assist by forward Jordyn Scott. Stanislaus State went on to score a goal in the 64th minute and the 75th minute to take the win, 3-1.
 
Leading the Broncos in shots was forward Allyssa Larkin who took five shots on the game and had one shot on goal. Salazar had three shots on the game with two shots on goal. Goalkeeper Audrey Brown collected two saves on the game.
 
CPP's next match is on Thursday, October 27th against Cal State LA in Kellogg Stadium for their final home match of the conference season with kickoff set for 11:30 am.
 
Bronco Bits: Head coach Jay Mason moves to 49-40-18 in his seventh year (sixth season) at Cal Poly Pomona and 30-23-16 against CCAA opponents … The Broncos are now 183-141-52 in conference matches … CPP is now 14-10-2 against Stanislaus State.
