Parm Scores 18 in Broncos Win Against Biola, 63-59

POMONA – In Cal Poly Pomona Bronco's home matchup against the Biola Eagles, freshman guard Shyheim Parm exploded for 18 points including the last six points to seal the Broncos victory, 63-59.
 
The Broncos went 26-63 from the field and 5-24 from beyond the arch. CPP scored 30 points in the paint, outscoring the Eagles 22 points. The Broncos scored 40 bench points against BU's 13 points. There were only two lead changes throughout the game, but the Eagles kept within reach.
 
CPP had the lead heading into the second half of the game, 32-26. The first and only tie of the game was in the second half with one 1:35 left in the game when Biola nailed a three pointer to set the score to a 57-57 tie.
 
Parm then hit a jump shot to take the lead, 59-57 and then went on to hit four free-throws to seal the win for the Broncos.
 
The leading scorer for CPP was Parm who collected 18 points, hitting 2-2 from the 3pt line, and nabbed two steals. Close behind was freshman forward Derrick Claxton who scored 14 points, had five rebounds and one steal.
 
Eight Broncos made the stat sheet as Caleb Nelson, Bam Johnson, Chris Gayles Jr., Jaden Winfield, Malachi Murrell, and Mayowa Akinsanya all put points on the board for CPP.
 
The Broncos' next game is tomorrow, November 19th as they face the La Sierra Golden Eagles in Kellogg Arena with tipoff set for 7:00 pm.
